Watan Dorokhshan Mining Company, obtained a license from AISA in 2006 as a limited liability company, and on 12 Nov 2006, based on passing the legal tendering process for Sabzak Coal Mine in Herat, it entered into a long-term contract with the Ministry of Mines of Afghanistan. Later, in 2021, based on a legal process, the contract of Sabzak coal mine with the Ministry of Mines of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was renewed for five years under new conditions.
